The confusing alchemy of love...

Can you love someone and hate them too? Can you want someone to cry and then cry with them when they do? Can you hurt someone and then be their comfort in pain? Can you knock someone down and then help them up again?

When you love somebody, can you hate them for not loving you? When someone lives in your heart, are they allowed to break it too? When you know someone loves you, do you tell them you don't feel as they do? Can you say no to someone who has only love to give you?

When we stop understanding, do we stop being friends? Does love turn to hatred, each time a relationship ends? Do close friends turn worst enemies, each time there is a fight? Do feelings exist only in black or white?

Can one sad word wash away all the happy ones said in the past? When smiles vanish forever, why do the tears fall fast? How do we answer the questions life asks of us? How do we react, when it confuses us, as it often does?

It's hard to find a balance, as we swing from side to side. It's hard to put into words what we really feel inside. In the kaleidoscope of life, our emotions form patterns of peace and strife. Ever changing, ever moving, ever intriguing - that's life.
